Review of the Hidden Chord "Identity" 7" from Hanging Like a Hex #13:
This is what every punk band should aspire to, and what every rock and roll band should look to for direction. This is almost the perfect mix of a completely energetic and poppy punk band, and an awesome rock band. Think a few well-dressed guys in black slacks with an organ here and there, totally in love with The Who and Minor Threat at the same time. Members of Killsadie, so you know it's good. Plus, any record with this kind of design on it is usually good. (Ryan Canavan)

The Hidden Chord 7" reviewed in Punk Planet
From Punk Planet #35 (January/February 2000):
These guys kick so much ass! It's the perfect mix of in your face rock and pop. The songs are catchy enough to dance to and rockin' enough to make people want to rip their clothes off. I would recommend this to everybody. I have a feeling that The Hidden Chord could quickly become one of my favorite bands. Oh, and did I mention that it has some of the best design work that I've seen in a long time? Order this now and cherish it! (Frankie Hartzell)
